International shark protection initiative.

Founded around 6 years ago, the voluntary association today is deemed as one of the worlds largest and most active Shark CONSERVATION. The main aim of more than 200 activists is the “de-criminalization of the sharks”, because of the perception that no one protects what he fears.

Part of the public relations of the organisation are books, movies, speeches – accompanied by very successful Sharkprotection-campaigns. For example with the “STOP SALES” campaign more than 8.000 Shops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland could be prevailed to abandon selling any shark products in the future.

These include “heavyweights” like Lidl, Metro, the Deutsche Nordsee and many others. The association – that has no employees and very little administration expenses of just a few percent – in financed mainly through donations and with the help of sponsors.

We advise "Shark Images" the digital picture library on sharks.

The idea of this picture library is not only to create the worlds only picture libary of shark images but also to offer a most comprehensive archive.

Professionals and Semiprofessionals form the basis, as in many private collections outstanding and rare shark images snooze that have never been merchadised.

Participation at the stock agency is not necessary for the competition!

Additionally shark protection benefits twice. With every „right of use“ being sold of one of the shark images some percent of the fee are donated directly to Sharkproject e.V. and thus every publication of shark images creates direct help on current protection projects for these animals. Besides that Sharkproject may use (after enquiry and with specimen copy) the pictures for non-commercial explanatory work.

The well known underwater photographer Helmut Corneli, who owns with the picture database SEATOPS one of the most known addresses for professional underwater photos, spontaneously agreed to assemble this project and many of the worlds famous underwater photographers are already part of the SHARKIMAGE-Pool. But also amateur and semi-professional photographers gain the chance with SHARKIMAGE to merchandise their shark pictures respectively to support the explanatory work of Sharkproject.
